Another benefit of running balanced is that you'll invariably spec into tactics, and get a passive defense bonus. But yeah, it's ultimately up to personal preference, be it effective or not.

that will depend on the codec and bitrate you use. i've had pretty good results using virtualDUB and ffdshow's xvid codec. also tried X264 through ffdshow, but it always seemed to corrupt the first 100 frames and threw audio out of sync.

I posted on this forum for the sole purpose of to try and help advance players. I gave what I thought was wrong with AB, and maybe people can pick up on some of those things to try and improve. But no you had to come in here because you were insulted because you keep dying to us. You feel as if since you can't win on the AB map, that you have to hide and troll us on these forums. I've been on these forums since before you even knew what Guild Wars was. I'm not about to walk away because some shit player, is mad that he lost to people finally in AB.

This oughtta change once you become Luxon. I always ask people to ping and adapt if deemed necessary. I consider their level of cooperation at this stage a strong indicator of how team play will work out.

Takes a bit longer to find a PUG this way, no doubt about that. But it saves me a lot of annoyance.

So after reading this thread yesterday I decided to do some AB. Just my luck, the Z-Quest was AB! So I went in (I'm luxon) and proceeded to lose evey round.

All I hear is how unfair AB is because Luxons always win and Kurzicks always get dominated. I played a good five matchs before giving up, it was the same old AB with terrible players unable to understand any concept besides spamming CAP CAP CAP. I have no idea why people complain so much about Kurzicks in AB unless I just got extremely unlucky. Once again I'm feeling like I want to change to Kurzick because Luxon seems to be filled with non-english speaking foerigners running terrible builds with no idea of how to play.

Unfortunately Z-Quest day isn't such a great day to go AB. You get people that go, that don't normally AB just to get coins. This usually means that these people have no idea how to cap yet shout at others to cap, they think its a good idea to be mob-feeders or try to take on a team solo and fail over and over and they will also take the worst build imaginable.

Try going when it isn't Z-Quest day and I'm sure you'd see a big difference and in all honesty you only have to look at the state of the non-exsistant map rotations to see how bad the Kurzicks are doing.

1st page: Good until BlackSephir & xenosagafreak started a flamewar. Thread instantly derailed

2nd page: First flamewar over; Lord Disturber & moriz start a flamewar

3rd page: Second flamewar continues; Lux Aeterna joins the fray; Reverend Dr wins the thread with a single post

4th page: Despite the fact that Reverend Dr won on page 3, the thread continues. Moriz (and the Second flamewar) calms down a bit; Reverend Dr wins some more

5th page: Second flamewar starts up again, Lord & his girlfriend VS Lux Aeterna.

Overall analysis: The thread started out as a discussion on whether or not to raise the rewards for AB, and remove the Guild requirement to play AB on either side. The entire discussion was derailed within one page by a flamewar that came and went. Another flamewar popped up and has yet to die down. Reverend Dr accomplished decent levels of win, but sadly and unexplainably, this was glossed over by the rest of Guru. The thread derailed in less than a page, yet it spans over five pages. Four pages of flamewar have occured, and it is highly likely that things will not be getting better anytime soon.

Because of the massive flamewarring, and the general irrelevance the majority of posts have on the OP's intentions with the thread, I can see this getting locked, and I'd actually like to request one.

tl;dr - this thread started failing after a page
